HOME HEALTH AIDE

Want to be more proficient in helping seniors or disabled individuals achieve a better quality of life?

  • Our Home Health Aide Training program is designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently take care of residents in assisted living facilities or clients in their own homes.
  • Comprehensive training includes modules in basic health care, mental health, nutrition, and more.
  • Hands-on practical skills training in realistic clinical settings, taught by experienced Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • 75 hours of instruction including 30 hours of classroom teaching, 10 hours of laboratory settings, and 35 hours of clinical externship
  • Upon completion, graduates are eligible for home health aide certification and the school provides job placement opportunities.

Upon finishing the HHA training program, graduates are equipped to assist clients with tasks such as:

  • Helping with personal grooming and hygiene
  • Providing companionship
  • Assisting with household chores
  • Preparing meals
  • Monitoring medication
  • Helping with mobility
  • Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Providing overall supervision of the client’s health and well-being.
